About Us
Founded in 2011 by Chairman Glen Morris and Managing Director Laurie Kane, SolarPlus was established in partnership with the Smart Energy Council – Australia’s independent body for the smart energy industry. SolarPlus is a complete solar design software platform used by over 1,700 solar sales companies who have quoted over 450,000 systems, worth over $4 billion.

Laurie Kane and Glen Morris reviewed the inefficiencies and compliance challenges of running Glen’s solar business and put forward a vision for the ultimate design software solution. John Grimes of the Australian Solar Council saw the value of best practice compliance solution and the Australian Solar Council committed as a Joint Venture partner
SolarPlus Launched
Solaris is formed by Glen and Laurie and by August 2012, SolarPlus is launched at a Australian Solar Council roadshow.
Solaris buy out Australian Solar Council
SolarPlus V3 is launched extending performance modelling to New Zealand and beyond with Meteonorm weather and irradiance data while adding complete system pre-build packages for sales team process. Solaris take full ownership of SolarPlus
First SolarPlus investor
Ex-CEO of Cyara, Laurence Webb, invests in Solaris bringing a wealth of sales knowledge to the team. SolarPlus extended with price-book features for improved inventory and job profit margin
3D designer rebuild Second investor backs SolarPlus
Ex-CEO of Unimarket and former KPMG Partner, Peter Kane, invests in SolarPlus and adds greater business acumen to the Solaris team. 3D map designer rebuilt for stunning building and array visualisation

A multi-year platform modernisation is completed resulting in global market reach and dramatically expanding commercial solar design as well as Smart Energy Simulator capabilities. SolarPlus now takes its place as the world’s most powerful solar, storage and electrification modelling and sales platform.
